BBQ tips and ideas
One of the best things about summer being here has to be all the opportunities to enjoy our gardens after a long winter. And at Malvern Garden Buildings, we think the best way to do so is with a good old BBQ!
Here are a few of our top tips:
Wait for the right moment: A good BBQ takes time and patience. Wait until the flames have died down and the coals are grey and glowing. When they reach this point they are at their hottest with the most even heat.
Get the best tools: Don’t get caught short once you are up and running! Make sure you are well equipped before you start with oven gloves, fish slice, tongs, cutlery, whatever you need to cook and enjoy your BBQ feast!
Preparation is key: If you marinade your meats either the night before or at least a few hours before you want to cook them, you will notice a world of difference. Whether it’s a spicy sauce or sweet BBQ dip, the flavours will infuse into the meat and bring out a delicious flavour when cooked.
Do it yourself: There’s nothing quite like homemade. And it’s super easy to make your own burgers for the BBQ! Buy some decent, fatty mince and mix together with some herbs and spices then shape into patties. Delicious!
Add some veggies: It doesn’t have to be a big meat feast at your BBQ! Grab some skewers and pop on some meat with wedges of red onion, peppers, cherry tomatoes and courgette to grill on the BBQ. Either eat straight from the skewer or pop into warm pitta breads to enjoy.
Now, then – who’s hungry? Let’s get the BBQ going!
