Guarantees

All our buildings have a 10-year structural guarantee which includes rot and decay. All other workmanship and materials are guaranteed for a period of 2 years. Glass is only guaranteed for a period of 3 days from the date of delivery. All guarantees are subject to the building being maintained in line with the general maintenance guidelines that will be provided by The Malvern Collection.

All guarantees are subject to the following guidelines and exclusions:

• All of our timber garden structures are subject to ongoing care and maintenance following installation. Any building that is not maintained adequately and routinely or negligence due to misuse shall be rendered null and void.
• Adjustments needed to doors and windows after a period of 12 months will not be covered. Double glazed units are covered for a period of 2 years.
• The guarantee will not cover fair wear and tear, or damage caused by third parties or accidental damage.
• Glass is guaranteed for a period of three days from the date of install.
• We cannot be held responsibility for any damage caused to your building by storms.
• We cannot accept liability, and your building will not be covered by the guarantee if deemed we are not given adequate opportunity to carry out necessary remedial work and we must be notified within 28 days of fault arising.
• Any defects caused by faulty groundworks are not covered by our guarantee.
• Hardware and metalwork, surface rusting or tarnishing are guaranteed for 12 months provided treated with a light oil on a regular basis. In coastal areas extra treatments are required due to the salty atmosphere accelerating any tarnishing, pitting, rusting and will not be covered by the guarantee if this process is not maintained.
• All natural changes and movement in timber such as expansion, contraction, variations in colour, splitting, knots, sap, resin exudation, knot bleeds through paint finishes are not covered by the guarantee as can occur in timber which is an organic product.
