National Read a Book Day
There’s nothing quite like curling up with a good book. Whether it’s reading about the life of your famous hero, learning new skills or getting lost in the thrills and spills of a fabulous novel. And at Malvern Garden Buildings, we think National Read a Book Day on 6th September 2017 is the perfect excuse to do just that.
It goes without saying that reading is an enjoyable pastime, but it’s actually so much more than that. Finding time in our hectic schedules to read daily can have a profound impact on our health. The mental stimulation your brain gets from reading regularly can slow the progress of dementia, improve memory retention, increase your vocabulary, improve focus and enable you to de-stress.
What’s not to love?
And, when you have a beautiful Malvern Garden Building to act as a gorgeous little getaway in your garden, you have the perfect space to get lost in your new favourite read.
All you need to do is pop on your slippers, make a hot pot of tea or delicious coffee and keep your phone and distractions well away! Don’t let anything interrupt your time. Escape to your garden building and lose yourself as you read. And, although you may be sat in your garden building, reading can take your mind anywhere you like.
So dig out an old favourite, find a new author, learn something new or read to the kids, and make sure you make the most of National Read a Book Day on September 6th!
