Summer holiday plans
Whether you’re looking out of your window right now and the sun is shining gloriously upon your garden, or if the day is looking dreary, there’s no doubt about it – the summer holidays are coming! And if you have children, wondering what to do to fill those long six weeks can loom over you, particularly if lots of day trips and holidays aren’t an option.
However, who said you need to even leave the house to have some fabulous fun during the summer? Whether you want to utilise your Malvern Garden Building for some summer family fun, or just the space around it, there’s no saying your kids can’t enjoy the great outdoors from your own garden!
If you have a lawn, or a garden with an abundance of flora and fauna, your kids can become explorers! Get them to go bug-hunting to find the weird and wonderful creatures that have set up home as your neighbours. It’s incredible to see the variety of wildlife in our gardens during this time of year, and both fun and educational to find them and learn more about them.
And it’s fair to say we all need more Vitamin D in our systems, and this time of year is definitely the perfect time to get it! As soon as that sun pops it’s head around the clouds, take the opportunity to dine al fresco. Whether you grab a blanket and spread out on the lawn, or have your usual dinner at a table in your garden building to catch a bit of shade, make the most of the fresh air. It will make you feel better, and tire the kids out more quickly for bed time too!
Don’t let those summer holidays fill you with dread – grab a cuppa and jot down some ideas now so you’re ready to make the most of those sunny days coming our way.
