Meet Mudd & Co
Mudd & Co have been handcrafting luxury bespoke kitchens and furniture for over 25 years. They have designed and created the centre piece of Planet Studio: the bar, which provides refreshments for ‘clubbing’ plants and people alike.
Traditional, handmade furniture
Mudd & Co’s heritage lies in the Staffordshire mill town of Leek, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Peak District National Park. Originally built for silk manufacturing, Leek’s many mills became home to the antiques trade in the 1970s following the decline of the silk industry; this has strongly influenced their approach to cabinet making.
Mudd & Co kitchens and furniture are traditional in every sense: design, craftsmanship and materials. The attention to detail and quality of construction in their products is drawn directly from their appreciation of the antique tradition around them.
Plants and people alike
The Mudd & Co bar will take centre stage inside Planet Studio to transform the traditional Kew Garden Room into a contemporary garden bar and entertainment space for those wanting a piece of city nightlife in their own gardens.
No detail has been overlooked when designing this bespoke piece, housing both drinks and plants to ensure that the bar serves every purpose of James’ vision.
