Why you may need planning permission for your garden building

  1. Your garden building will be higher than 2.5m, within 2m of the boundary.

  2. Your property is listed.

  3. You live within a green belt, conservation area, an area of outstanding natural beauty or a national park.

  4. Your garden has trees with preservation orders (TPO).

  5. Your permitted development rights have been removed.

How it Works

Once you have placed your order for your garden building and paid your deposit, we’ll send your details to our approved planning services partner.

Upon making contact, your planning application will then be submitted within 24 hours. The process includes submitting all the necessary planning forms, drawings and designs, any risk assessments and statements if required i.e. access, ecology, heritage and flood risk, submitting the planning fee, and liaising with the local council on your behalf to complete the application.

The process usually takes between 10 and 14 weeks. Should the planning application be unsuccessful, we’ll fully refund your deposit for the garden building. However, our partner has a 99% success rate of securing planning permission with all local UK councils.

Price and Payment

Our fully managed planning service is £1,320. This includes payment of the £328 planning fee. Payment is required prior to the submission of your planning application.

Where your garden has a TPO our consultant may need to engage a third party arboriculturalist to undertake a site visit and an independent tree report. Additional fees will apply.
