This year, our tradestand at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show features three flagship garden rooms, each thoughtfully designed to demonstrate how outdoor living spaces can become a seamless extension of the home.
From relaxed entertaining spaces to characterful hideaways, each interior was carefully styled to inspire visitors with ideas for creating a garden room that reflects their lifestyle and personality.
A special thank you goes to our talented team member, Hazel Smith, whose interior styling brought each building to life. Her beautifully curated interiors helped Malvern Garden Buildings achieve a prestigious 5 Star Tradestand Award at this year’s show.
The Bespoke L-Shape
The 30’ x 20’ Bespoke L-shape garden room is naturally divided into two zones, creating a versatile multi-funcational space. Throughout the interior, natural materials and earthy tones create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Positioned beside the 10′ x 10′ covered deck and outdoor kitchen, a beautiful dining table and bench from Ben Simpson Furniture create a dining area ideal for relaxed entertaining and effortless indoor-outdoor living. An inviting L-shaped sofa nestled into the corner creates a more informal setting for socialising and unwinding.
The second half of the building has a lighter, more open feel. By placing furniture around the perimeter, the floor space remains flexible – perfect for rolling out a yoga or pilates mat, for example. A floating sideboard positioned across the window doubles as a workspace or a peaceful spot to enjoy a morning coffee overlooking the garden.
Glazed interconnecting doors allow the two areas to flow together or function independently when needed.

The Hanley Garden Room
Designed with focus and flexibility in mind, the 14’ x 10’ Hanley garden room offers a quiet retreat away from the main home.
With clever, considered storage solutions – including a beautiful larder cabinet that can also house a coffee station, alongside side tables with hidden storage – the space can be used as an office by day and, with all traces of work tidied away, a place to relax by night.
A generous table functions equally well as a productive workspace or a setting for relaxed gatherings with friends and family. Comfortable armchairs create the perfect place to read, unwind, or simply enjoy the surrounding garden views with a glass of wine in hand.

The Hopton Summerhouse
Full of character, the 10’ x 10’ Hopton summerhouse was designed as a space to disconnect from the everyday and surround yourself with the things you love most.
The eclectic interior combines rich textures and statement pieces, from deep leather armchairs and shelving for books, records, and collectables, to a striking chandelier that draws the eye upwards and celebrates the beautiful vaulted ceiling.
Generous glazing floods the space with natural light, making it an ideal setting for displaying houseplants while perfectly framing views of the surrounding garden.
